What? Volunteer at a home for people with disabilities in Budapest or as a Church/Youth worker at a lively Reformed Congregation close to Budapest.

Where? HUNGARY, Budapest and Érd (Town outside of Budapest)

When? 11 months of service - start 1st September, finish 31st July 

Summary of Roles:

Support Worker in a home for disabled people

  • Work in a home helping residents to live a higher quality of life
  • Work alongside other volunteers and professionals to gain valuable skills
  • Organise games and activities to stimulate and entertain residents
  • Volunteers will be invited to bring their own interests/skills into the role

Church/Youth Worker at Reformed Congregation of Érd

The volunteers are an integral part of the church:

  • building relationships with children, young people and their families
  • Mums and tots group
  • Providing after school activities, including sports, craft, music/ theatre
  • Supporting the homeless
  • Volunteers will be invited to bring their own interests/skills into the role
  • Help to organise weekend retreats and summer camps
  • Christian input, such as Bible studies and small group discussions

Costs: free (funded through Erasmus+)

Volunteers will be expected to promote the Erasmus+ programme during their service

Volunteer Requirements:


  • Passion for working with young people
  • Aged 18-30


  • Willingness to learn Hungarian language
