What do retreat centres look like?
Generally our retreat centres are rural locations often within an hour or so distance from major town or city. Many want help with activities for children and young people, as well as other groups (elderly, ‘mums and toddlers’); some are looking for specific skills (administration, worship).
Retreat ommunities are looking for volunteers with a passion to serve, engage and willing connect with often diverse communities. Ideal candidates will be be outgoing, friendly and ready to take on exciting challenges that will help transform them and communities they serve. This type of placement is best suited to those with a propensity towards a slower place of life, happy to live a life of reflection in community with like minded people.
