It’s a year of Jubilee! TfG launches its TfG Friends’ initiative in Celebration of 60 years of service.

In 2025, Time for God (TfG) proudly commemorates its 60th anniversary—a milestone that reflects six decades of unwavering commitment to volunteerism and community service. To honour this significant achievement,TfG is launching the "Time for God Friends" (TfG Friends). This initiative is aiming to celebrate the organisation's rich legacy, acknowledge the profound impact of its volunteers, and expand its reach for the future.

A Legacy of Service and Impact

Since its inception in 1965, TfG has been a cornerstone in promoting volunteerism across faith – based communities and charitable projects across the UK, fostering a spirit of service and compassion. Over the years, countless volunteers have dedicated their time and talents, contributing to projects that have touched lives and brought about positive change. The ‘TfG Friends’ initiative seeks to highlight these remarkable contributions, sharing stories of volunteers whose efforts have left an indelible mark on individuals and communities alike.

Celebrating Achievements and Expanding Reach

The 60th Jubilee is both a time for reflection and a catalyst for growth. Through TfG Friends, the organisation plans to host a seriesof celebratory events, including reunions, workshops, community gatherings and fundraising campaigns.

It will provide platforms for past and present volunteers to connect, share experiences, and inspire others. These aspects of the campaign aim to strengthen the TfG network, fostering a sense of belonging and encouraging collaborative efforts to extend the organisation's reach and impact.

Pete Twilley, Chair of Trustees for Time for God says

‘The impact of Time of God has been immense and is something that I have seen for myself as I have witnessed the work that TfG volunteers do and the impact that this has on their lives and on the lives of the people who are part of the communities in which they serve. I hope that ‘TfGFriends’ will be an opportunity for people who have either served as TfG volunteers or have been impacted by a volunteer to re-connect with us and bepart of supporting the future of TfG as we look ahead to the future with hope.’
